To frisbee or not to frisbee...

Is that even a question? Oh, nevermind.

Last night, a big party was thrown to celebrate the homecoming of Quint's sister after spending 8 months 'down under' in Australia and the birthday of Quint's mother. Live music had been arranged, and guess who were on the bill! A few people shy of a hundred attended the event, so we had our work cut out for us.

First, the father did a welcoming song on an acoustic bass sided by his band's guitarist. Then, he announced we were up next. Oh yes.
We set up our gear and chose to take it as it came; even the weathergods seemed to pay close attention since the sky *finally* cleared once we started our set!

Arnaud started the intro of Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath, Off To Rome was introduced, and then, we were off. The setlist didn't really differ much from the one we did in Rotterdam (only exception being The Praetorians, which we omitted), and everyone seemed to enjoy the show we put on. People started moving, heads were bobbing and afterwards, everyone (even an older lady well in her 60's/70's) expressed their liking of our music and our performance. Some even confessed they originally thought of us as makers of excruciating noise, only to admit afterwards that they actually liked what we'd played.

Here's a clip of the final chorus and the last verses of Thank God For God.

After Thank God For God, it was frisbee time; Quint's mother and sister were called up on stage to receive the only two Imperator frisbees of the night, much to the entertainment of everyone present. We then did Mindcontrolled, and played our mischevious lovechild Baking Poets for an encore. A very nice gig, and a brilliant night.

Setlist was as follows:

Off To Rome
Seventy-Two Virgins
Gorillawrath
Thank God For God
Mindcontrolled
Encore:
Baking Poets

Finally, some pictures of the night:

During 'Thank God For God'. The posing is obligatory, ofcourse.

Greg proving that constipation can be hard to deal with...

But nothing was quite as bad as when those pesky Huns came storming through the hedges again. Jurre is obviously beyond himself in shock, and Arnaud is looking for something heavy to throw...
